How to study with this

  1. Read the summary first, then the full text

Skimming the structure before you read gives you a frame to hang details on, so the full reading goes faster and sticks better.

  2. Cover it and recall

After reading, hide the summary and write the key points from memory. Then compare — the gaps are exactly what to review.

  3. Don't stop at the summary

A summary tells you what matters; it doesn't make you remember it. Turn the key terms into flashcards or quiz yourself the next day.

Frequently asked questions

Is the PDF summarizer free?

Yes. You can use it without an account. If you use the free tools a lot in one hour we'll ask you to create a free account to keep going.

How long can my PDF be?

Up to 5 MB and 10 pages. We summarize up to about 8,000 characters of text — roughly 3–4 dense pages. For full chapters and slide decks, create a free account and upload the whole file.

Does it work with scanned PDFs?

The free tool needs a PDF with selectable text. In the TurboStudy app you can upload photos of pages or handwritten notes and we'll read them.

How accurate is the summary?

The summary is generated only from the text you provide, but AI can make mistakes. Check anything important against your course material.

Do you keep my file or text?

We read your text to generate the result and don't save the file or add anything to an account. If you choose “Save and generate more”, the text is kept in your browser until you create a free account and import it.
